Red Rooster (company)
Red Rooster (German: Red Rooster ) is an Australian fast food chain , relying on the sale of fried chicken , French fries has specialized and other chicken products.
The Kailis family opened their first “Red Rooster” in 1972 in Kelmscott , a suburb of Perth . In 1992 “Red Rooster” bought the “ Big Rooster ” fast food chain in order to expand into the eastern states of Australia. These stores were renamed "Red Rooster". In 2002, Red Rooster was taken over by Australian Fast Foods . There are now 290 "Red Rooster" restaurants in New South Wales , Victoria , the Australian Capital Territory , Queensland , Western Australia and the Northern Territory .
Until the late 1990s, the restaurants were only open from lunchtime to 9 p.m. In the meantime, Red Rooster has also introduced a breakfast menu in order to face competition from the market leader McDonald’s in this regard. Red Rooster now also offers menus with less fat and less salt to meet the growing demand for healthier foods.
