Reef Doctors - Die Inselklinik (Original title: Reef Doctors ) is an Australian drama series by Jonathan M. Shiff .

It is about a tropical medicine doctor who runs a small hospital and who uncovered a secret about tropical toxins .

The series was produced in 2013 by Ship's production company Jonathan M. Shiff Productions in collaboration with ZDF Enterprises . The first broadcast took place in Australia on June 9, 2013 on the television station Network Ten , while the German-language first broadcast took place on June 27, 2015 in the afternoon program of ZDF .

Tropical medicine Dr. Sam Stewart runs a hospital on Hope Island, a barrier island off mainland Australia. Together with her ex-husband, she is researching poisonous creatures in the area. Her son Jack and the clinic staff also play a role in her life. These include the newcomer and Playboy Dr. Rick D'Alessandro, the German medical student Freya Klein, nurse and administrator Olivia Shaw, the laboratory assistant Gus Chochran and the residents Toby McGrath and Sonny Farell.

In addition to the clinic, the series is about dramatic medical emergencies, everyday clinical practice and interpersonal problems. In addition, Sam uncovered a secret that involves tropical toxins.
