Michael Prelle

Michael Prelle (* 1951 in Hamburg ) is a German actor , radio play and voice actor .

Life

Michael Prelle grew up in the Hamburg districts of Rahlstedt and Dulsberg . After graduating from high school, he first studied German and English, but then completed his training as an actor at the University of Music and Theater in his native city from 1970 to 1973 . The first stages of his stage career were from 1972 to 1974 at the Thalia Theater and then until 1980 at the Hanseatic City's playhouse . He then moved to the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf , whose ensemble he was part of until 1984. This was followed by a 17-year engagement at the Schauspiel Bonn , before Prelle went to the Deutsche Theater Berlin in 2001 , where he performed on stage until 2005. Since 2006 he has again been a member of the ensemble of the Hamburger Schauspielhaus. In 2017 he will make his debut at the Salzburg Festival in a production by Karin Henkel ( Rose Bernd von Gerhart Hauptmann ) .

In addition to his stage work, Michael Prelle also works regularly in front of the camera. In the early 1980s he had guest roles in the ARD early evening series St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken and was involved in two Tatort episodes. Since the beginning of the 2000s, other roles followed in various films and series such as Großstadtrevier , Danni Lowinski or Notruf Hafenkante . In 2015, he played Police President Plocher in the humorous crime series Pensionnercops .

In addition, Michael Prelle has worked in numerous radio productions for various broadcasters and is also active as a voice actor. For example, he lent his voice to Frank Langella in the film Draft Day or his Swedish colleague Lars-Erik Berenett in eight episodes of the series Real Humans .

In 2006 he took on the double role of Edgar Caswell and Weisthor in the radio play series Die Schwarze Sonne by Lausch , of which a total of ten episodes were published by 2010.

In addition, Prelle is a lecturer in role work at the Institute for Acting, Drama and Film in Hamburg, where he also lives.
