Familienbande is a television film from the crime series Tatort . It is the 48th case of the Cologne team of investigators Max Ballauf and Freddy Schenk . The report produced by Westdeutscher Rundfunk and Colonia Media was broadcast for the first time on December 5, 2010 on Das Erste .

Ballauf and Schenk drive to a rural homestead in whose cold room the nine-year-old Mark Bürger lies frozen on the ground. Iris Findeisen, who owns the farm, appears and cannot explain how the boy got into the refrigerator. It looks like he was trying to saw off a roebuck's antlers, and when the door closed when there was a power failure, he couldn't get out. Were the fuses intentionally tampered with or did the rain cause a short circuit? Findisen was friends with the Bürger family, especially with the woman, who is now in despair over the death of her child. And the relationship between Iris and the citizens was now tense. They used to hang out with each other, she even gave the boy a turtle so he would keep coming back to her. Ballauf and Schenk suspect that Iris Findeisen was interested in Nadja Bürger and that the boy could have been in her way. Thus, Iris Findeisen is initially even arrested as a suspect. Meanwhile, Martin Gebauer comes under suspicion because he and his father wanted the area of the Fringshof for a new hotel. He could have tampered with the fuses to harm her. Overwhelmed by the events, Nadja leaves her husband Bernd and moves in with Iris, with whom she has had a relationship for a long time. In the meantime he sees himself only as a means to an end, in order to provide a regular owner for his wife's small company. With the death of the boy all that is no longer necessary. Nadja 's mother visits her daughter at the Fringshof and asks her to come back to her and Bernd. You destroy everything, your company, your family and everything just because of this woman.
In the back of the Fringshof , Ballauf and Schenk find a tire track, and it looks like a tap may have been turned on here to provide additional moisture in the masonry and thus a short circuit. That points to Gebauer and his car, but he initially has an alibi. Cornered, however, he admits that he wants to annoy Iris and drive her away from the yard, but could not have known that the boy is in the refrigerator. After all, Bernd was his friend and Mark was even his godchild. He didn't want that.
Meanwhile, Iris is found shot in the Fringshof . As a murder weapon, Bürger's pistol comes into consideration, which he had just given into safekeeping at the rifle club. When Ballauf and Schenk look it up, as was to be expected, it is not in the safe. Martin Gebauer is interrogated because he was the last to have the pistol. His friend Miriam confirmed this, but also says that he was so drunk and could no longer know whether he locked the gun away. Citizen may have taken them back with him, and when Ballauf and Schenk look at him, they do not find a pistol, but several cartridges of the ammunition that he still had in the house are missing. Nadja appears, and her mother admits that she found the pistol that night, shot Iris and then thrown the weapon away. This woman destroyed everything: her family and over 100 years of company history in her small cabinet maker.

The shooting of the 782nd crime scene crime story took place in Cologne and the surrounding area. Numerous scenes were shot in Kaster . The opening sequence shows the Agathator, a restaurant in the old town was named Jagdstube Mühlbach for its production . The working title was Only Her Best .
