action

A blackmailer demands 200,000 DM from the beer producer Belcher, otherwise he would pour poison into his brew kettle. Belcher wants to pay, but his son Paul is against it and turns on the police. Hans-Georg Belcher insists on paying and delivering the money himself. The police secure the location of the handover, but the blackmailer (Robert Serner) still manages to escape after he has shot down Belcher and he dies. Shot himself, he fled to his sister Mona Serner, who was waiting for him with the car. They do not notice that the private detective Pigulla has been monitoring them for a long time. He has been commissioned by Paul Belcher's wife to convict her husband and his lover Mona Serner that he is tracking down blackmail in the process.

After the death of the senior boss, Paul Belcher takes over the day-to-day business. According to his father's will, Paul's wife also has an important say in the company, which he really doesn't like. During a routine tasting, the master brewer detects deviations and a short time later breaks down with acute symptoms of intoxication. At the same time, a ransom email was received demanding 2 million DM. Ballauf suspects a free rider because, in contrast to the first threats, it was not handwritten. Meanwhile, Mona is contacted by Pigulla, he wants money, but also help her and her brother Robert. Ballauf and Schenk quickly realized that the model Mona, who is currently filming a beer commercial in the brewery, has a relationship with Paul Belcher. She is monitored and unintentionally leads the investigators to her hotel, where Robert is hiding. The detective notices this, however, helps the two to get out of the hotel unnoticed and takes Robert to another hiding place.

Mona begins to flee forward and makes a statement on the bureau. After that, her brother showed up with her three weeks ago and she put him up at the hotel. But she doesn't know where he is now. The investigators continue to monitor Mona, with Lissy also helping them.

Paul Belcher watches his wife when she meets the detective. He confronts Pigulla, who tells him that his wife has hired him to gather material for a divorce. Belcher is now turning the tables and hiring him for a correspondingly higher fee. Pigulla is so cold-blooded that he has now poisoned Robert Serner to get rid of him. Then he goes to Lisa Belcher to kill her too, but is surprised by the daughter and incapacitated. The police examine Pigulla's car and, in addition to lots of cash, find his order book, which also includes Paul Belcher as a customer. In order to convict him, they initially do not inform him of the unsuccessful murder attempt. He's on a business trip and is coming back by train. When his wife picks him up from the train station, he is very irritated, and when she aims a pistol at him and even wants to shoot, Ballauf and Schenk intervene. You can also just prevent Belcher from throwing himself in front of an approaching train.

After Robert's death, Mona confesses that she planned and carried out the blackmail with her brother. She wanted to get away from Belcher because he has been hogging her more and more. With the extorted money she wanted to be independent of him. She did not know that Pigulla would then demand money from the brewery on her own.

As a little story, Ballauf is looking for an apartment and falls for a fraudster.
