Church interior

The Reformed Church in Conters in Prättigau is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .

History and equipment

The sources do not reveal when the church building was erected at the present-day location and the patronage under which it was inaugurated. However, in the pre-Reformation period at the beginning of the 16th century, the choir was extended in the late Gothic style with stabilizing reticulated vaults and the church tower , which is strikingly wide compared to the nave, with a characteristic pointed helmet was built.

Inside, a polygonal wooden pulpit adorned with carvings , which sits on a stone base, connects the nave with the multi-tiered choir.

Saas in the Prättigau remained the mother church of Conters until the end of the Bündner turmoil in 1646. This was followed by a bond with the neighboring village of Küblis , which continues to this day, with Conters having its own pastor between 1728 and 1907.

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Conters, which is connected to Küblis in a pastoral community, within the colloquium IX Prättigau .
