At the beginning of the 20th century, Guarda and Lavin were looked after by Ardez and Zernez . Since January 1st 2016 Guarda has been part of a merged parish Ardez - Ftan - Guarda. The parish belongs to Colloquium VIII Engiadina Bassa - Val Müstair within the Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden .
