The Reformed Church in the village of Pany , the largest faction of the Prättigauer total community Luzein is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .

History and equipment

The church was built in a historicizing post-Gothic style in 1705, when the denominational and political situation in Prättigau calmed down again after the devastation of the turmoil in Graubünden . The mother church of the residents of Pany had been the Luzeiner church until then , and even earlier that in Jenaz . The church tower was given in 1909 by Nicolaus Hartmann jun. a striking pointed helmet .

Under the gable of the canopy facing the street, the song verse Closer, my God, is painted to you .

The interior of the church surprises in view of the year of construction due to the lack of any baroque style elements . It presents itself as a compact room with a clearly delimited, three-sided closed choir , in the middle of which there is a baptismal font on which, according to the Graubünden Reformed tradition, the Lord's Supper is celebrated. The pulpit with the crowning sound cover is on the left of the partition wall to the choir in the nave .

Church organization
