The Reformed Church in Luzein in Prättigau is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . It was last renovated in 1930.

history

The church is first documented in 1222 as the property of the Churwalden monastery . In the pre-Reformation period, a new building was built in 1487, in which the church tower of the old, demolished building was integrated. The tower with an octagonal helmet roof connects to the facade in the north.

The interior of the church shows a simple nave . The choir is covered by a ribbed vault and adorned with wall paintings from the decades at the end of the 15th century, particularly emphasizing the evangelists .

Furnishing

In the center there is a baptismal font that dates back to 1487. The artistically carved pulpit was installed after the end of the Bündner turmoil in 1694. The organ shows style elements of the Rococo and is from 1791. The door of the church portal was made in 1670. A faithful replica is in the Rhaetian Museum in Chur .

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Luzein as an independent parish within the Colloquium IX Prättigau . This maintains two preaching places: next to the church in Luzein also the church in Pany .
