Reformed Church Wintersingen
The Reformed Church Wintersingen is a church building in the municipality of Wintersingen in the canton of Basel-Landschaft .
history
Together with the Reformed Church of Binningen from 1673, it follows the unusual scheme of the Winkelhakenkirche , i.e. has two naves at right angles to one another. The scheme was used for the first time in the city church of Freudenstadt . In addition to the possibility of partial reuse of the old nave , liturgical considerations, namely the reformed principle of the best possible viewing and hearing distance from the pulpit, also played a role.
The church of Wintersingen was built in 1676 by Daniel Hartmann - with partial use of the nave of the previous church including the gallery from 1613. It has a roof ridge . The valuable furnishings of the church include the central pulpit , gift table and stalls from the construction period. Also noteworthy are the beamed ceiling and the grisaille paintings around the windows as well as the baroque epitaphs .
