Wintersingen is a municipality in the district of Sissach in the canton of Basel-Landschaft in Switzerland .
geography
Of the 695 hectares of the municipal ban, 237 hectares are forest. The highest point in Wintersingen is 738 m. ü. M. (Chienberg) and the deepest at 370 m. ü. M. (municipality and canton border at the Iglingerhof).
The municipality of Wintersingen borders in the north-east on Maisprach , in the east on Buus , in the south-east on Rickenbach , in the south-west on Sissach , in the west on Nusshof and in the north-west on Magden ( AG ).
history
Wintersingen was first mentioned in a document in 1196. Wintersingen is one of the -ingen places of the earlier Alemannic settlement period. The coat of arms is from the knight Rudolf von Wintersingen around 1284.
economy
The industrial area of Wintersingen is in the Unterdorf. Various companies are located there: Flückiger Agritech AG, Sägesser Reisen AG and Belatec AG.
