Wittinsburg ( Swiss German : Wytschbrg ) is a municipality in the district of Sissach in the canton of Basel-Landschaft in Switzerland .

Wittinsburg is a farming village and lies on a hill between the Homburger - and Diegtertal .

Neighboring communities include (clockwise from the north) Diepflingen , Gelterkinden , Rümlingen , Buckten , Känerkinden , Diegten and Tenniken .

coat of arms

Wittinsburg's coat of arms was officially confirmed by the local council in 1944. It is divided into two halves by a vertical line. The left half is black a golden ear of corn, on the right half, which is golden, a black ear of corn is shown. The coat of arms symbolizes the agriculture prevailing on the Tafeljura plateau.
