Reformed church Zollikerberg
The Reformed Church Zollikerberg is a branch church in the village of Zollikerberg , municipality of Zollikon , Switzerland .
history
Until 1804, the inhabitants of the Zollikerberg were parish in Zumikon , then in Zollikon . From 1933, services could be celebrated in the chapel of the reformed hospital and deaconess institution in Neumünster. With the establishment of a pastor's office, the desire for an own church center in the mountain quickly arose . The project by architects Hans and Annemarie Hubacher received the most approval from a competition held in 1954 . The church was built in 1959/1960.

The church center is grouped around a central square from which the parish hall, church service room and Sigristenhaus can be entered.
The nave has a dominant, tent-shaped roof that extends beyond the walls of the nave. The integrated bell tower has the shape of a steep pyramid . The wooden structure of the tower rests on a concrete base.
The interior is characterized by the tent-shaped roof system and the lighting through skylights and rectangular windows in the facades . The benches are polygonally grouped around the central liturgy zone with pulpit and communion table. When designing it, particular emphasis was placed on avoiding an isolated position of the pastor. This suggestion echoes the principle of the general priesthood that has long been in effect in Protestant sacred architecture .
The organ of the Kuhn company, inaugurated in 1961, is located on a gallery . The organ front is in design interplay with the acute-angled shapes of the church roof. The bronze entrance door by Robert Lienhart was added in 1962, the glass windows designed by Paul Stöckli were added in 1965.
