The Refuge d'Avérole is a refuge of the Lyon Villeurbanne section of the Club Alpin Français in France in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region .

Features and information

The hut is open to skiers in spring from mid-March to mid-May and from June 16 to September 16 for the summer season.

Accesses

There are several ways to get to the refuge. In the summer season it is advisable to start the ascent from the Vincendières car park . It takes between one and a half and two hours to reach the hut via signposted hiking trails. In winter, it is best to start the trail at La Bessanaise Holiday Center . The time required is then extended to around two and a half hours.

Ascents

The mountain hut is a possible starting point for the ascent to the Albaron .

Among other things, it is possible to do the four-day round tour of Bessanèse from the mountain hut , during which you spend the night in three other huts. Another possible round tour from the hut crosses the nearby border with Italy ( Refuge du Carro , Rifugio Bartolomeo Gastaldi and Refuge des Évettes ).
