The Refuge de la Femma is a refuge located in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . The refuge belongs to the administration of the Vanoise National Park .

description

The hut is open from mid-March to mid-May and from mid-June to mid-September. During this time, hikers have 68 beds available. Outside of these times, the hut has a winter room with 24 beds.

Approach

The normal route begins at the Parking de Bellecombe at an altitude of 2307 m , which can be reached after approx. 12 km from Termignon via the Route de Bellecombe (D 126). On an almost flat path, you first go to Plan du Lac , leave the Refuge du Plan du Lac hut on the left and then orientate yourself towards La Bourgeat , where the Torrent de la Rocheure is crossed a little later . You finally follow this stream on its right-hand side as seen in the direction of flow to the hut. The path presents no technical difficulties, but the ascent is about 11 km long. Allow around three hours of walking for the ascent. Since some sections of the path lead downhill on the ascent, a total of 400 meters in altitude must be mastered.

Tour possibilities

particularities

The Refuge de la Femma refuge is the starting point for the approach to the rock paintings on the Grand Roc Noir mountain . Due to the severely limited availability of electrical energy that is produced on site, there are no mobile phone charging stations available. In an emergency, a stationary bike is available to the user to generate electricity.
