Reg Thomas (actually Reginald Heber Thomas; born January 11, 1907 in Pembroke , Pembrokeshire , † March 14, 1946 in Chalford ) was a British middle-distance runner .

In 1928 he retired at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam over 1500 m in the run. At the British Empire Games in Hamilton in 1930 , he won gold in the mile run and silver over 880 yards . He started for England as Wales did not send an athletics team.

In 1932 he did not get past the first round again at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles over 1500 m. At the Cross of Nations in 1939, he finished 44th starting for Wales.

In 1930, 1931 and 1933 he became English champion in the mile run.

The Royal Air Force member died in a plane crash .
