The Government Jubilee Medal 1905 was donated on July 17, 1905 by Prince Karl Günther von Schwarzburg-Sondershausen on the occasion of his 25th anniversary in government.

Appearance

The badge of honor is a round medal made of matt silver . In the obverse on a smooth background it shows the donor's head facing to the right with the inscription KARL GÜNTHER FÜRST Z. SCHWARZB. SONDERSH. In the neck section a laurel branch on the left and an oak branch on the right. Both are connected with a loop. In the lapel on a smooth background, the crowned Schwarzburg lion walking to the left , holding a heraldic shield leaning at an angle in its paws . Under this representation there is a baroque sign with the inscription 25 YEARS. GOVERNMENT ANNIVERSARY 1880–17. JULY – 1905 .

High Heads of State or Hofangestellte, Member of the were awarded parliament (Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen) , mayor and mayor , fire chief of the fire brigade , station manager , chairman of the trade , craft and agricultural chambers , active officers of the 3rd Thuringian Infantry Regiment. 71 and Portépee NCOs from his 1st Battalion and citizens with a council title . The medal could also be awarded according to the Prince's personal resolution.

The design comes from Curt von Bloedau . The medals were delivered by jeweler Schlegelmilch in Arnstadt , where Bloedau was district administrator . The punch cutter was Paul Fliegner in Hanau . The ribbon (550 meters) was delivered by court jeweler Karl Schühle in Sondershausen . Ribbon and medal were then probably put together in the State Ministry. The medal was awarded with a certificate of ownership and was non-returnable. A total of 1,656 awards were made; eight copies served as replacements, six went to the Princely Court Marshal's Office and one to the files, so that a total print run of at least 1,671 copies can be assumed.
