Bao Jiachang ( Chinese  包 嘉 昌 , Pinyin Bāo Jiāchāng ; born January 5, 1993 ) is a former Chinese national ice hockey player .

Career

Bao Jiachang began his career as a hockey player in an amateur team from Harbin , for which he has played in the Chinese ice hockey league since 2009 . In 2011 he became the Chinese national champion with the team. Then the professional team China Dragon noticed him and he moved to the team from Shanghai in the Asia League Ice Hockey in 2012, where he played for two years. 2014 returned to the Harbin amateur team. In 2017 he made a second attempt at professional ice hockey and tried to get a contract with the newly founded KRS Heilongjiang , but failed.

International

For China , Bao Jiachang took part in the junior division at the U18 World Junior Championship Division III 2010 and Division II 2011 and the U20 Junior World Championship Division II 2011 and Division III 2012 and 2013 , when he was named the best striker of the tournament and had given most of the templates. He also represented his colors in 2012 at the U20 tournament of the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia . He also played for the team from the Middle Kingdom at the Winter Universiaden 2015 in Granada, Spain, and 2017 in Almaty , Kazakhstan .

In the senior division, the striker was part of China's squad at the Division II World Championships in 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 . He also took part in qualifying for the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 for China .
