Regina Leßner (* 1954 in Quedlinburg ) is a German feature writer and director .

Life

Leßner grew up in Hanover. She studied law in Göttingen. She worked as a dramaturge at the Junge Theater in Göttingen , in Bremen and Wilhelmshaven, before she began working as a freelance radio writer and director for various ARD stations and Deutschlandradio Kultur in 1984.

criticism

The trade magazine Cut calls her Ulrike Meinhof portrait from 2001 "an extraordinary feature". The author spent half a year for this work in archives to sift through texts, images and original sound material. Regina Leßner, writes media historian Hans-Jürgen Krug , “ forego a smooth, uniform point of view.
