Regina Schmidt-Kühner

Regina Schmidt-Kühner (born April 7, 1955 in Göttingen ) is a Baden-Württemberg politician of the SPD . From 2001 to 2006 she was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament in the 13th electoral term .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in Göttingen, Regina Schmidt-Kühner studied mathematics and computer science at the University of Karlsruhe from 1973 . From 1987 she worked as a software developer at PTV Planning Transport Verkehr AG in Karlsruhe . There she is the freelance chairwoman of the works council.

Political activity

Regina Schmidt-Kühner has been a member of the SPD since 1975. Since 2008 she has been an assessor in the district executive of the SPD district association Karlsruhe Stadt. In the 13th electoral term from 2001 to 2006 she was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament through her direct mandate in constituency 28 (Karlsruhe II) . On May 6, 2010, she was again nominated as a candidate for the state parliament for the Karlsruhe II constituency by a general meeting of the SPD Karlsruhe.

Other memberships and offices

Regina Schmidt-Kühner joined the Friends of Nature in 1976 . From 1985 to 1991 she was the federal youth leader of the Naturfreundejugend in Germany and from 1992 to 2006 chairwoman of the Baden state association. Since 2001 she has been one of three deputies to the federal chairman.

She is also a member of IG Metall .

Family and private

Regina Schmidt-Kühner is married and has two children.
