Reginbald Perckmayr

Reginbald Perckmayr (* around 1679 ; † September 18, 1742 in Augsburg ) was a German Benedictine and theologian.

Perckmayr came from the Benedictine monastery in Augsburg , where he initially taught philosophy as a professor . He later became a subprior of his monastery.

In German he published works on The Sacrament of Penance and the Altar (1725) and on indulgences. In 1731 a triple Catholic catechism was published , in 1732 the text Christ on the Cross and Sebastianus on the Marterbaum , and in 1737 the three-volume history and sermon book .

Perckmayr also collected material for the sermon book Polyanthea amplissima , which should contain ten to twelve volumes, as well as for a work on all religious communities . However, both works did not appear.
