Otto Seegy

Otto Seegy (born July 2, 1859 in Burg ; † July 25, 1939 in Nuremberg ) was a German architect and construction clerk .

Life

Seegy was an architect in the service of the Nuremberg city administration from 1896 to 1924. Most recently, he served as town planner working in the city. His son Friedrich (1909–1990) was also an architect.

Works (selection)

The most important buildings in Seegy include the Johann Daniel Preißler School in the Gostenhof district and the school building on Reutersbrunnenstrasse. For the municipal fire department that originated Fire Station West and the main fire station again. Together with Conradin Walther, he adapted the urban development of the Künstlerhaus Nürnberg . According to plans by Seegy and Heinrich Wallraff , a head building of the Marientorzwinger was built in 1913 .
