Conradin Walther
Conradin Walther (born May 11, 1846 in Schwäbisch Hall , † May 20, 1910 in Nuremberg ) was a German architect and university professor .
Life
Conradin Walther, born the son of a civil servant, studied at the Polytechnic in Stuttgart and passed the building master's exam . After a trip to Italy, he worked as a private master builder in Stuttgart from 1869 to 1871 and worked at the St. Johannis construction works. In 1871/72 he again traveled to Italy, including Sicily and Austria. In February 1873 he got a job at the Nuremberg City Planning Council and on July 1, 1874 became a professor at the Nuremberg Art School . He was one of the main representatives of the so-called “Nuremberg Style”, an architectural movement that primarily dealt with the maintenance of the cityscape of Nuremberg at the end of the 19th century. In 1909 he retired.
