Middle Rhine-Westerwald region

The Middle Rhine-Westerwald region is one of the five planning regions in Rhineland-Palatinate . It includes the district-free city of Koblenz , which is also the regional center of the region, as well as the districts of Ahrweiler , Altenkirchen , Cochem-Zell , Mayen-Koblenz , Neuwied , the Rhein-Hunsrück district , the Rhein-Lahn district and the Westerwald district . The region is a total of 6432 km². The administrative headquarters and office of the planning region are located in Koblenz, where theStructure and Approval Directorate North is located. The planning region is supervised by a planning community that is responsible for drawing up regional plans and on-site environmental planning. The lead planner is Andreas Eul .
