Ivo Vander Borght
Ivo Vander Borght (* around 1950) is a Belgian improvisation musician ( percussion , composition ).
Live and act
From the 1970s onwards, Vander Borgh worked in his hometown Antwerp, initially in the Werkgroep Improviseerde Musici (WIM), to which Fred Van Hove also belonged. In the following years he continued to work with Van Hove, both in the duo ( Verloren Maandag , 1977), in the Trio Musica Libera Belgicae (with André Goudbeek ) and in the Fred Van Hove Nonett, with whom he made a guest appearance in Berlin in 1996. Vander Borght was also a member of the fi Quartet (with Van Hove, Herb Robertson , Luc Houtkamp ) and the septet MLF 7 . Vander Borght also founded several percussion workshops, played with Noah Howard , in the BOCMO Big Band and in a duo with Eddy Loozen . In the field of jazz he was involved in 14 recording sessions between 1975 and 2001.
