The Southeast Region ( Macedonian Југоисточен регион Jugoistočen region ) is one of the eight statistical regions , the highest administrative level in North Macedonia . The administrative unit is divided into 10 municipalities, which represent the lowest administrative level. The region is located in the south-east of the country and borders Bulgaria and Greece . Neighboring regions are the east region in the north and the Vardar region in the west .

Regions in North Macedonia do not fulfill any administrative tasks, but are only there for purely statistical purposes. In some cases, however, they form historical regions that are and were economically and culturally linked.

  2. Bosilovo
  3. Gevgelija
  4. Konče
  5. Novo Selo
  6. Radoviš
  7. Star Dojran
  8. Strumica
  9. Valandovo
  10. Vasilevo

Strumica is the economic and cultural center of the region and at the same time the largest city.
The Dojran is the largest lake Ostmazedoniens.
