Attractions

The Catholic parish church of St. Michael is a hall church with a retracted dome tower in the baroque style. The originally late Gothic core was redesigned in Baroque style from 1666 to 1690, while the sacristy and tower were built by Anton Kogler from 1719 to 1722 . The nave was enlarged between 1753 and 1759 by Johann Baptist Lethner , the transept and choir were renewed around 1920.

One of the parish's two primary schools is located in Reichenkirchen. Reichenkirchen also has a volunteer fire brigade and the Catholic parish church of St. Michael. The "Schützenverein Frohsinn Reichenkirchen" has existed since 1930 and emerged from the former boys' association.

There is also a Catholic rural youth movement in Reichenkirchen (KLJB Reichenkirchen). This offers group lessons at regular intervals in the Reichenkirchen parish hall and sets up the maypole in the village every 4 years (most recently in 2015). In 2007, the group celebrated its 60th anniversary with a big party around the erection of the maypole and in 2012 the 65th anniversary was celebrated.

The local sports club, SG Reichenkirchen, with its club premises on Lohkirchner Straße includes a recently built soccer club house with two large-field pitches, a running track and a long jump facility.
