history

Reichersdorf was a royal property and appears as early as 1004 in a document from Heinrich II , who took the Niederaltaich monastery and its possessions into his care that year. Henricus Waller von Reichersdorf signed a donation that was bequeathed to Aldersbach Abbey in 1160 . Around 1225 Gebehardus de Richstorf gave the Ranshofen monastery five denarii. In 1444 Jakob Waller zu Thurm (Wildthurn) founded a benefice at the parish church of the already existing Reichersdorf parish.

The Hofmark Reichersdorf was in the hands of the respective owners of Wildthurn Castle. These were the Waller, Buchleitner and finally, through marriage from 1681 to 1825, the barons of Pelckhofen (including Pelkhoven). On January 8, 1825, Johann Nepomuk von Pelkhoven sold the property to the monastery owner Franz Kaspar Bachmayer from Vornbach . The village of Reichersdorf, which also housed a school, consisted of 29 houses with 190 residents in 1832.

The municipality of Reichersdorf emerged in the 19th century from the Patrimonialhofmark, which was subordinate to the Landau nursing court in the Landshut rent office. It belonged to the district court, district office and most recently to the district of Landau an der Isar . On July 1, 1972, it was incorporated into the city of Landau an der Isar as part of the regional reform .

In 2009 an aircraft crash site from the Second World War was discovered in a forest near Reichersdorf .
