Reiner Braun (journalist)

Reiner Braun (born December 22, 1952 in Braunschweig ) is a German journalist , activist and historian who has long been an employee and managing director of peace policy organizations.

Life

In the 1980s, Reiner Braun worked for the Krefeld Appeal . Before the Einstein anniversary in 2005, he worked at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science . For a time (2006 to around 2014) he was managing director of the Association of German Scientists , currently (as of March 2015) he is managing director of IALANA ( International Association of Lawyers against Nuclear Arms , partly translated as international lawyers against nuclear war ). He is also the spokesman for “ Cooperation for Peace ”. Reiner Braun is also deputy chairman of the natural scientist initiative Responsibility for Peace and Sustainability e. V. (NatWiss). as well as on the board of the Peace Education Foundation . In addition, he is the main initiator of the peace winter 2014/15 . Reiner Braun has also been Co-President of the International Peace Bureau (IPB) in Geneva since 2013 .

Braun lives in Berlin .
