Reiner Künzl

Reiner Künzl (born January 15, 1938 in Saaz , Czechoslovakia ) is a German veterinarian . As a medical officer, he was veterinary in the German Armed Forces from 1994 to 1998, the fifth stage manager for veterinary medicine in the German Armed Forces with the rank of senior veterinarian .

Life

Künzl graduated from high school in 1958 and then did his basic military service in the Air Force until September 1959 . He then studied veterinary medicine at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich until 1964 and received his license to practice medicine one year later . In 1966 he returned to the Bundeswehr as a veterinarian , this time as an army soldier . There he was initially a member of the Veterinary Department of the Sanitary and Health Service Department in the Military District Command I in Kiel, then from 1969 laboratory manager in the Veterinary Investigation Center of the Bundeswehr I. In this role, he was promoted to senior veterinarian . In 1972 he passed his exams as an official veterinarian in Hanover and in 1974 was recognized by the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Veterinarians as one of the first veterinarians in the Federal Republic of Germany as a specialist in radiology. In 1978 he was transferred to Stuttgart to the Veterinary Investigation Center V, which he then headed from April 1980 in the rank of senior field veterinarian . After the reclassification of the department to the cross-licensing examination institute of the medical service of the Bundeswehr (UInstSanBw), he first headed Laboratory Department II Veterinary Medicine and from 1988 the department. In 1990 he was promoted to senior veterinarian and on April 1, 1994, he was appointed senior veterinarian in the German Armed Forces. In this function, Künzl also advised institutions outside of the armed forces across all approvals.
