Reinhard Scheelje

Reinhard Scheelje (also: Šeelʹe, R .; * August 23, 1926 in Bramsche ; † September 5, 2019 ) was a German local politician and local historian .

Life

Reinhard Scheelje, born in Bramsche near Osnabrück in 1926, studied in the early post-war period at the University of Kiel , where he graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture with his dissertation The eradication of bovine brucellosis <Abortus Bang> by vaccination and diagnostic methods in a broad-based control plan.

Professionally, Scheelje moved to the capital of Lower Saxony, where he worked as head of department at the Hanover Chamber of Agriculture .

Despite his work in Hanover , Scheelje lived in Burgdorf (Hanover region) . Scheelje, a member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP), was a member of the Burgdorf City Council from 1974 to 1986. From 1976 to 1981 he was deputy mayor of the city.

Reinhard Scheelje published on small animal breeding and animal welfare . In addition, he dealt with the history of Burgdorf. In 1999 he did his doctorate again at the University of Hanover , after receiving his Dr. agr. finally also Dr. phil. : His university thesis Constitution and Law in Burgdorf. (16th to 18th century) in the series of publications of the landscape association of the former duchies of Bremen and Verden put the Technical Information Library (TIB) online.
