Reinhard Vom Bauer

Reinhard vom Bauer (* 1945 ) is a German actor who also sometimes worked under the pseudonym Thore Seeberg .

Life

Reinhard vom Bauer completed his acting training from 1965 to 1968 at the Fritz Kirchhoff School in Berlin-Dahlem . He played a number of roles in the then very successful German television series in the 1970s and 1980s . Vom Bauer also took part in some cinema productions .

In 1972 he played in two episodes of the spy series The Red Orchestra . 1979 followed a role in the three-part television series A Chapter for Himself , directed by Eberhard Fechner . In 1980 he played in the international cinema production Die Formel, which was not very successful with the public .

He gained greater fame in 1982 through his participation in the television series A Piece of Heaven . In it he played the role of Erich Grabowski, a photographer of German descent who initially supported the Jewish Polish Dawidowicz family financially. He later gave her daughter Janina shelter and saved her by placing her in a Polish monastery school.

In 1999 Vom Bauer, who also worked as a theater actor , read a poem by Yevgeny Yevtushenko at a commemoration ceremony for the Nazi massacre of Babi Yar in Berlin .

As a multiple German runner-up in diving (3 m), he took part in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich .
