Reinier Craeyvanger
Reinier Craeyvanger (born February 29, 1812 in Utrecht , † January 10, 1880 in Amsterdam ) was a Dutch painter and musician (bassist, double bassist, cellist).
His brother Gijsbertus was also a painter and their father Gerardus was a musician. He was a student of his brother and at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam from Jan Willem Pieneman .
He was a member of Arti et Amicitiae and one of the founding members of De Haagse etsclub in The Hague .
He is known for his works and copies of great masters such as Jan Steen , Gerard Dou or Frans van Mieris .
