René Groth

René Groth (born June 9, 1972 in Dresden ) is a former German soccer player .

Sports career:

In 1977 René Groth began to learn to play football at SG Dynamo Dresden ; from 1987 to 1989 he attended the children's and youth sports school in Dresden . Groth began his career in 1991 as a contract amateur at SG Dynamo Dresden. After Dynamo's relegation from the Bundesliga in 1995 , he switched to the second Bundesliga as a professional at FSV Zwickau . Groth played 48 competitive games there. 1998 moved back to Dynamo Dresden; In 2000 he was hired by VfB Leipzig . After the 2001/02 season as a player at VfB Leipzig, Groth moved back to the Elbe in the summer of 2002 and became player-coach at FV Dresden Süd-West. In 2004 he ended his career.
