The Canary winds ( Convolvulus canariensis ) is a plant type from the family of wind plants (Convolvulaceae).
description
The Canary winch is a strong and at least in the lower area lignified liana , which reaches heights of growth up to 10 meters. The very hairy plant partially overgrows other shrubs and trees. The leaves are stalked, large, and pointed ovate-oblong. The only short-stalked inflorescences consist of three to eleven flowers . The flowers are up to 18 millimeters long, attractive, bluish and yellow in the throat.
The flowering period extends from March to July.
Occurrence
The Canary Winds occurs on the Canary Islands La Palma , El Hierro , La Gomera , Tenerife and Gran Canaria in the laurel forest region.
