René Reimann
René Reimann (born May 9, 1967 in Berlin ) is a former German water polo player, Olympic participant and active water polo trainer.
Life
With the Wasserfreunden Spandau 04 he was eight times German champion between 1985 and 1992. Then Reimann moved to SC Rote Erde Hamm , but was German runner-up only seven times during his playing time in the club from 1993 to 2000. In 1989 he became European champion at the European water polo championship in Bonn . Reimann took part in the Summer Olympics three times in 1988 , 1992 and 1996 and played 394 times for the German national team, for which he was also captain for many years. In 2003 he ended his playing career.
After his playing career, Reimann became a water polo coach. Among other things, he has coached the Bundesliga team of SV Bayer Uerdingen 08 , the Swiss first division club SC Kreuzlingen and the German national women's team for four years. In 2012 Reimann took over the coaching position at the SGW Rote Erde / SV Brambauer club .
After his successful coaching career in water polo, Reimann switched to professional tennis. He worked for three years as an athletic trainer at the Schüttler-Waske Tennis University in Offenbach and was responsible for the athletics of the players and for the medical field. In the professional academy, players like Angelique Kerber , Andrea Petkovic , Mona Barthel , Tommy Haas , Jürgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner, to name just a few, trained.
Today Reimann works as an independent certified trainer very successfully as a trainer, coach and consultant throughout Germany with executives and athletes. He also passes on his experience and knowledge in seminars and training courses.
