Ren'ai ( Chinese  仁愛 區 , Pinyin Rén'ài Qū , Pe̍h-ōe-jī Jîn-ài Khu ) is a district of the northern Taiwanese port city of Keelung .

Location and importance

Ren'ai is located in the center of Keelung City. It is surrounded by the neighboring districts of Zhongshan and Zhongzheng in the north, Anle in the west, Nuannuan in the south and Xinyi in the east. In the north, the district meets the southern tip of the port of Keelung . Keelung's main train station is in Ren'ai and connects it to the Taiwanese rail network.

Ren'ai is the city's smallest district in terms of area, but has by far the highest population density. The central location and proximity to the port have made the district a lively business and shopping district, which contrasts with the more industrial port districts of Zhongshan and Zhongzheng. The popular Miaokou night market and the adjoining Dianji temple from the 19th century are well known.
