Renate Kanovsky-Wintermann (born March 17, 1957 in Klagenfurt ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ), HBLA teacher and state school inspector. From 1991 to 1994 she was a member of the Carinthian state parliament , from 2001 to 2004 a member of the Austrian Federal Council and city councilor in Klagenfurt.

education and profession

Kanovsky-Wintermann attended an elementary school in Klagenfurt between 1963 and 1967 and then graduated from the Bundesrealgymnasium in Klagenfurt from 1967 to 1977. After the graduation had taken off, she studied from 1977 Law at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz and graduated in 1983 with the promotion of Doctor of Laws ( Dr. iur. ) From. Politics and functions

Renate Kanovsky-Wintermann moved up in the 26th legislative period on April 25, 1991 as a member of the Carinthian state parliament and was a member of the state parliament until the end of the legislative period on April 19, 1994. In 1997 she became a member of the municipal council of the state capital Klagenfurt, where she held the office of city councilor from 1997 to 2001, where she was responsible for social affairs. In 2009 she ran again for the FPÖ in the municipal council election in Klagenfurt, but failed to make it into the municipal council. She also represented the FPÖ Carinthia from June 20, 2001 to March 30, 2004 in the Austrian Federal Council.
