Renate Lüsse

Renate Lüsse (* 1936 ; † 1991 ; later also Renate Lüsse-Lauth or Renate Lauth-Lüsse ) was a German singer of the gospel song in the contra-alto voice range .

Life

Renate Lüsse experienced a conscious conversion in the evangelical understanding in 1953 and attended the Bergstrasse Bible School in Bensheim from 1955 to 1958 . During these years her first recordings were made for the Christian label Happy Message in the Song . The unmistakable deep contralto-alto voice quickly made her known within the Christian music scene and one of the most successful interpreters of the gospel song . Her recordings are still used today in the nostalgic broadcast Unforgotten - songs that will remain of the ERF as well as religious broadcasts such as chorale devotions on public radio.

Renate Lüsse was married to the preacher Gottfried Lauth .
