Renate Elisabeth "Renee" Harmon (born May 18, 1927 in Mannheim ; † November 26, 2006 in Visalia , California ) was a German actress , film producer , non-fiction writer and screenwriter .

life and work

Renee Harmon grew up in Mannheim and met her husband, who served as a colonel in the United States Army , after the Second World War . She moved with him to Texas and ran an amateur actor group at her husband's military base . After moving to California, she produced a number of low budget films in which she also appeared as an actress. She wrote two scripts herself. In the movie Love in the Spaceship Venus , she played alongside Vaughn Armstrong . In 1984 she appeared in the film The Executioner, produced by her, with Aldo Ray and Christopher Mitchum . That year she also produced The Brut of Violence ( Hellriders , 1985) and was a film partner of Adam West and Tina Louise .

In addition, Renee Harmon ran an acting school and a school for future screenwriters . She wrote several non-fiction books about her work and experiences as a teacher . Her husband died in 2005 and she died in 2006. Both are buried in the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella Village , California.
