The Oeggtor, also called Rennweger Tor, which represents the transition between Residenzplatz and Rennweg.

The Rennweg in Würzburg is the street that is located between Residenzplatz and Rottendorferstraße and is approx. 350 meters long.

On this street there is a bus stop Rennweg, Würzburg, which is served by various bus routes. This road is of particular importance for the population of Würzburg not only because of the connection to an ambulance station of the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe , on which 3 ambulances and a NEF are stationed, and the professional fire department Würzburg.

Public benefit

The emergency services use the road several times a day to get to downtown Würzburg quickly in the event of an emergency. The Würzburg fire brigade, which uses the Rennweg, for example, to be quick on operations on the BAB 7 or BAB 3 , uses this street up to several times a day. Driving on the Rennweg is also a quick alternative for the fire brigade's rescue workers to get to work quickly outside of Würzburg city center. A much longer and, due to the traffic situation, more dangerous route to get from the fire station in Würzburg to missions outside the old town would be via the Berliner Ring.

The Rennweg also divides the Ringpark into two halves.
