Reposal is a chemical compound that is derived from barbituric acid ( barbiturate ). It was first synthesized in Denmark in 1960 and has anticonvulsant , sedative and hypnotic effects . As a medicinal substance, it is no longer important; No finished medicinal products based on Reposal are approved anywhere in the world.

Legal status

Reposal is a marketable and prescription narcotic drug in the Federal Republic of Germany due to its listing in Annex 3 BtMG . Handling without permission or prescription is generally punishable. Further information can be found in the main article Narcotics Law in Germany .

Internationally, Reposal falls under the Convention on Psychotropic Substances .
