The Resedablättrige Schaumkraut or Reseda Cuckooflower ( Cardamine resedifolia ) is a plant from the genus of the foam herbs ( Cardamine ) within the family of the Brassicaceae (Brassicaceae).

Vegetative characteristics
Reseda-leaved foam herb is a perennial , herbaceous plant that reaches heights of about 2 to 15 centimeters. The basal leaves are arranged in rosettes, with the older leaves undivided and the younger leaves in three parts. The pinnate stem leaves consist of two to three pairs of linear-lanceolate sections. The petiole is eyed at the base.
Generative characteristics
The flowering period extends from March to August. The hermaphrodite flowers are fourfold. The four white, free petals are 4 to 6 millimeters long.
The pods are 12 to 22 millimeters long.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 16.
Occurrence
Reseda-leaved foam herb is widespread in southern, south-eastern and central Europe. The distribution area extends from Spain to the Balkans and includes the Carpathian Mountains , the Sudetes and the Bohemian Forest . It is common in the Central Alps and rare in the Northern Limestone Alps. In the Allgäu Alps , it rises in Vorarlberg at the summit of the Elferkopf to an altitude of 2384 meters.
This lime- avoiding plant species thrives in stone rubble corridors on the alpine and subalpine elevations , snow valleys and damp rocks. She's Association characteristic species of Androsacion-alpinae-dressing, but comes in also in association Androsacion-vandellii silicate rock crevices before.
