Henry Berman
Henry Berman (born January 1, 1914 in New Castle , Pennsylvania , † June 12, 1979 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American film editor who occasionally worked as a producer .
Life
His first film as editor was Marine Against Lovesickness from 1936. In 1951 he produced his first film with Bannerline . He was responsible for editing 21 episodes of the Solo series for ONKEL . His brother was the film producer Pandro S. Berman . Occasionally they worked on joint productions. A director Berman worked with more often was John Frankenheimer .
For his work on the film Grand Prix , Henry Berman, along with Frank Santillo , Fredric Steinkamp and Stu Linder, was awarded the Oscar for Best Editing in 1967.
