action
David Grant works as a cartoonist in Greenwich Village . On a walk he wishes the bookseller Jean Newton “good luck”. When Jean was given an expensive dress shortly afterwards, she believed that David had actually brought her luck and persuaded him to take part in a competition with her. The main prize is a trip to Niagara Falls . However, David makes it a condition for his consent that, in the event of a win, they travel together. However, this does not meet with acceptance by Freddy Harper, Jean's fiancé. However, David can convince him that the journey is just an artistic experiment and completely impersonal. In fact, the lot wins. David and Jean start their journey, but are followed by the jealous Freddy. When Freddy breaks into Jean's hotel room at night, he finds out that his fiancée is spending the night there alone. David had already left with Jean's work results to return to New York .
On his return trip to New York, David, who is driving Jean's car, is arrested by the police. He is suspected of stealing the vehicle. Jean, in turn, is arrested on suspicion of stealing a picture of David. Finally, Freddie is arrested for breaking into his hotel room. All three come before the judge. However, only Jean and David can convince the judge of their innocence and eventually become a couple.
