Reviews

The lexicon of international film judged: “A ballad-like film that lets bourgeois values and norms appear in a shady shine; Although it does not match the quality of Frankenheimer's earlier works, it is fascinating because of the photographic aesthetics and the music, which is as accusatory as it is harmonizing. "

Variety wrote that the film had an authentic, dark and brave atmosphere. Cash's ballads supported the film incredibly soulfully. Tony Mastroianni of the Cleveland Press, however, found the film too shallow. Frankenheimer makes either masterpieces or failures, this film is one of the failures.
