Resistance D was a live act in the field of electronic dance music , especially in the music genre trance . It consisted of the Frankfurt producers Maik Maurice Diehl and Pascal Dardoufas (better known as Pascal FEOS).

Career

In December 1991 the debut single "Cosmic Love" appeared as a white label in an edition of 500 on the now defunct label "Cyclotron". The title could already be assigned to the trance, which was becoming popular at the time, which made Resistance D one of the early and over the years also formative German groups of this music style.

After further publications on the Injection Records and Direct Drive labels, the breakthrough came in 1993 with the "Human EP" released on the Harthouse label . The title track “Human” became a Europe-wide club hit and achieved a very high cult status due to the remixes that were strictly limited to 250 copies and mostly only available as promotions (by Arpeggiators , Progressive Attack and Laurent Garnier ).

In 1993 and 1994, Resistance D was one of the most popular and most booked German live acts on the techno scene. You were voted "Live Act of the Year" in 1993 and 1994 in Groove Magazine polls . This was followed by appearances at major events in America, Japan, Australia and all of Europe. The recording of the live performance at Mayday 1996 was also published on Harthouse.

The collaboration with Harthouse ended with the insolvency of the label in 1997. Resistance D then signed a contract with Planet Vision. "Impression", the first release on this label from 1998, was much more geared towards a radio chart success than the earlier titles and reached the top 70 of the Media Control single charts. The last position in the German charts so far was achieved in spring 2001 with the single "You Were There".

Resistance D have numerous remixes for artists such as DJ Hell , Sven Väth , Jam & Spoon , Mory Kanté , WestBam , Arpeggiators, SNAP! , Nalin & Kane , Anne Clark and Jean Michel Jarre .

Pascal FEOS also published his own productions under his name. He passed away in May 2020.
