Resplendor , officially Portuguese Município de Resplendor , is a city in Minas Gerais , Brazil .
From 1989 to 2017 it was in the Aimorés microregion and the Vale do Rio Doce mesoregion and borders the communities Conselheiro Pena , Itueta , Santa Rita do Itueto , Goiabeira and Cuparaque , in Minas Gerais , Alto Rio Novo , Pancas and Baixo Guandu , in Espírito Santo .
