Baixo Guandu , officially Município de Baixo Guandu , is a city located on the western border of the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo . It was founded in 1935 and had almost 30,000 inhabitants in 2010, which the Brazilian Statistics Institute estimated at 31,467 inhabitants, called Guanduese, on July 1, 2015.

It is located in the Colatina microregion and the Noroeste Espírito-santense mesoregion and borders the municipalities of Pancas , Colatina , Laranja da Terra and Itaguaçu in Espírito Santo and Aimorés , Itueta and Resplendor in the state of Minas Gerais .

The Rio Doce flows north of the city and forms the border with the neighboring state of Minas Gerais .
