Alegre , officially Portuguese Município de Alegre , is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo . The population was estimated on July 1, 2019 at 30,084 inhabitants, who live on a municipal area of ​​772 km² and are called Alegrenser ( alegrenses ). It ranks 21st of the state's 78 municipalities and is 189 km from the capital, Vitória .
